So I've had my Jeep for almost a year now and today I just now discovered the Jeep panoramic sun roof has a VENT button!!! I mean, I always knew it was there, but never realized it was actually a button, I just thought it was a description/image of what the AUTO buttons were for. (like the sun shade buttons on the right are, the middle part is not a button but just an image indicating it is for the shades).

Anyways I discovered this on accident today when I went to open my garage door and accidently hit the vent button instead, and much to my surprise it vented the window up!!

Am I the only one who didn't know this!!?!?! lol

Anyways, it's always nice to discover cool new things about the Jeep :D

Yeah I agree, before, I would always open the window a few inches to get some air flow, but at higher speeds the window net that pops up would always flap around, plus created lots of road noise.

This vent feature will be nice for times like that!!!! (still can't believe I didn't discover this sooner lol)

Just think what else you might find out about your Jeep if you sat down and read through your owner's manual! :D

I'm a guy, we don't read those things. Just kidding, I actually did read through it, but didn't really think there was much to learn about the sunroof as it was self explanatory, so skipped past that part. Guess I was wrong!

To answer your question.... yes, I think you're the only one that didn't know this :)

Is this your first vehicle with a sunroof? All the power sunroofs I've ever used or seen have this feature.
Actually my last two vehicles both had sunroofs (Isuzu Axiom and Pontiac G8 GT) but neither had a panaromic sunroof, just had a standard sun roof.

So I guess I didn't realize the panaromic opened up in the middle, because it was dual glass, I just thought it slide back and forth only.

There was a rather long thread shortly after the '14 was introduced where 'discoveries' were posted. Many were clearly documented in the owner's manual, but there were a few surprises.

I never read the section on the sun roof, because I don't really like them. The vent feature might come in handy when the Jeep is parked in hot weather.

Depends on which way the wind is blowing.
If it's blowing front to back, no worries.

I've learned from experience to NOT leave sunroof/moonroof open, even vented.

Long time ago I used to have to park outside...
Got home before my wife (girlfriend at the time).
She walked in and said, "You want to take your car to the wash now."
Damn Canadian geese!
Sooo glad the moonroof wasn't open, that would have been really nasty.
