The Trailhawk has the SRT style seats (more side bolster), red towhooks, badges, different trim / stitching, and can be optioned with Rock Rails from the factory.

The Overland has slightly different wheels (with the ORA package), the standard seats, a wood trimmed steering wheel, and available 18 speaker HK audio system upgrade.

Personally, I like the rugged look of the Trailhawk better, and the seats a LOT better. It's too bad you can't get the HK audio, but the Alpine system isn't bad. I also think you want the rock rails if you want to do any real off-roading.

The Trailhawk has a better approach angle than the Overland and is also .4" higher in ORA2. Looked at and liked an Overland but really glad I went with the Trailhawk.

Nice I apperciate all of your help. One of the dealers told me the seats are not as good in quality. Is that at all true?
The Trailhawk seats are great. Personally, I like them much better than the standard ones. They hold you in place, which is what you want for off-roading (or cornering). Also, the ventilation and heating elements work quite well.

I honestly don't believe there's a "quality" difference, unless you are referring to "qualities" about the seats. The seats in the Trailhawk are more like the SRT seats and the seats in the Overland are different than that. They may feel different. Some folks say that the TrailHawk seats are more supportive in some ways, for example. Sit in both and see what feels better to you.

I dug up this old post I had seen before regarding seat foam cushion. My Trailhawk has #4 foam.

For MY14 your seat foam is:

Laredo/E, Cloth....#2 Foam
Altitude, Suede....#5 Foam
Limited (Std)....#6 Foam
Limited (Lux II)....#1 Foam
Overland....#5 Foam
Summit....#3 Foam
SRT (Suede Perf)....#4 Foam
SRT (Laguna)....#7 Foam

To the best of my knowledge, higher number is firmer as I know for a fact the Overland #5 seats are very firm compared to my #3 Summit seats. So, relatively speaking, SRT's w/ Laguna seats (#7) have rocks for seats and Lux II Limiteds (#1) have squishers and other models/trims fill in between.

Other things like seat material, seat shape, bolster config, seat surface material, vented/non-vented, position, etc.. all affect perceived seat comfort.

You can confirm your foam # by VIN here:

I would presume MY15 is identical.

I really like the TH but haven't driven one yet. Is there a difference in ride between the Trail Hawk and Overland?

Just be sure to get the Quadra-Drive option if you go with the Overland. Otherwise you don't get the rear ELSD which is worth every penny!!!!

I purchased the overland because I wanted the better sound system, smooth steering wheel and 20" wheels.

Overland is going to give a few more luxury items, Leather wrapped dash, door top trim, chrome exterior accents, wood top section of steering wheel. I chose to go with the Trailhawk. I like the sinister look of the blacked head lamps, and gun metal gray & black accents over the chrome. And I do love the Trailhawk seats, much prefer over the Overland seats... Extremely comfortable, and gives you that sports car wrap around seat fit. Both offer the leather perforation option. Go with that. Wife has the '12 Overland, and really love it too, but wanted something different. I really like the muscle look of the TH with the 18" wheels and Goodyear KEVLAR tires... TH also has a different air bag system for more travel and lift. Only the Overland will offer 20" wheels and the Harmon Kardon sound system. But the Nav base system in the TH is pretty darn good.

I orignally wanted an Overland, but could not find the options I wanted. Started looking at the TH and feel in love. The Trailhawk gives you all you could want in a factory off road rig, with a great comfortable and quiet ride to boot.

Both are nice. Get what you like.

Only the stops are modified based on previous discussion. Same QL otherwise.

Did we resolve that for sure? Overland and Limited with ORA-II both say "extended travel" using same words as for TH.

Yea at first I didn't like the TH but looking around and finding out that the seats come in full leather I do like the TH more. My dealer was confused though because they don't know how the seats came in full leather with no suede. Personally not a fan on suede for a vehicle like this.

With Lux they are full leather, and having just checked one out in person, they are nice! Very premium feeling.

I love my TH seats. The bolster are just right to help keep you in place and they are firm but not uncomfortable like my JK seats.I would love to find a set of TH seats to adapt to my JK.

Trailhawk also gets you QDII standard, but I believe you can still get that as an option on the Overland. Trailhawk gets you dual exhaust outlets on ALL engines, which is something that you can't get on the Overland.

The Overland has Dual Exhausts for both the V6 & the V8

Agree! Seems like it is nothing more than a super fine micro-fiber cloth... It is not leather and seems very cheap to me. Have an extremely hard time with it in the high end models like the SRT & possibly the Trackhawk. If that is all the Trailhawk had offered, as it did originally, I would not have one. Hate the stuff. Sorry to those that have and like it, but it is not for me.:slapfight:
