Looking to order a 2023 Grand Cherokee Summit Reserve. Interested in any problems any of you have had that I should be aware of before purchasing. Thanks in advance!

Just took delivery of my Summit Reserve. I only have 800 miles on it so far. The only problem is the overwhelming amount of configurability and tech learning curve in this trim level. It's an awesome vehicle! The Palermo leather has a unique smell. It's not like the typical new car smell.
I was a little worried that the 21 inch wheels/tires would ride rough but they don't at all. All 4 came from the factory inflated to 44 PSI. I set them to the correct pressure and the ride is amazingly smooth.

Thanks for the info! I did order a Summit Reserve. I totally agree with the technology issue! Lots to learn!

A question. It looks as if there is no locking door on the gas tank. I downloaded the manual from the internet, and I don’t see one. If so, I will have to order a locking gas tank cap.

Took delivery of my 23 GCL Summit Reserve V8 six months ago
  • entire dash lit up with warning lights in March - 3 weeks at the dealer and they replaced the entire steering column due to modules causing issues
  • steering wheel has fit / finish issues
  • occasionally at a stop there is excessive engine vibration
  • center console scratches very easy, covered with PPF and now its great but I wouldn't go without a cover ;)

Otherwise I like the idea of it, just wish is was worry free about future issues, but confidence is low.

i would have liked to get the E-diff as the off road option on my Overland (they have offered it as an item in the option group "off road") twice since i ordered mine - but each time they remove the option group from the website (for the L)

and for the PPF on the center console area - where is everyone getting that? sounds like a good thing to protect the piano black scratch magnet surfaces

The screen in my 2023 grand Cherokee is not working. Took to the dealership and they said they can not fix and are waiting for Jeep to come out with an update to fix it. It also shifts hard in particular in sport mode. Really frustrating to be dealing with issues on brand new Jeep
shifting hard in sport mode isn't an issue. Line pressures are increased in sport mode so firmer shifts are to be expected

My 2023 summit reserve hemi has been pretty much fault free.
I had a suspension clunk when new. I took it in and they were able to cure it 90% by tightening something (they didn’t specify what they did just “torqued everything”).
the paint is thin so do yourself a favour and PPF the impact areas as well as the piano black/ screens.

My Trailhawk just had a water pump under warranty. My 11 Durango Hemi did just the same. Great vehicles.

  1. metal flakes in the paint (2 doors repainted)
  2. touch up paint factory applied on the trunk door in a crease
  3. rear suspension bolt not torqued properly, clunking sound, now resolved
  4. front windshield with tiny bubbles, waiting on warranty approval for replacement
100% get a maxcare warranty off one of the discount vendors mentioned here, especially if you have something like a trailhawk or above with air suspension

23 Trailhawk 4xe...died on the side of the interstate two weeks ago. Dealer working with Chrysler trying to figure out the issue...

This is my 7th Grand Cherokee, and I've never had any issues until now. Won't lie that it's still super frustrating.

I have the occasional random warnings, but they either go away immediately or on the next restart.

Recently the tailgate won't open without a lot of attempts. You can hear it trying to open, but then it beeps and either reseats itself or it never tries and just beeps 3 times. I might have to make a special trip to the dealer just for this issue. It gets frustrating when it takes 20 attempts to open the tailgate or give up and load things in the backseat lol.

new here. I took delivery of my 2023 SUMMIT RESERVE L in April has 2600 miles on it. The evaporator went at 2600 miles. At the dealer for weeks. Got it back and two days later the power steering went out. Went back at the dealer was there 4 weeks and the steering is fine but when i turn my steering wheel. You hear it as it turns in the actual steering wheel. Now have to take it back again. With the same similar issue. I do not get it how it was in for a steering problem and it continues. I love the car but super disappointed with JEEP
