Anyone know why the Ram trucks have 390hp and 407 lb/ft torque and the Jeep is only 360 and 390?
Anyone know if the cam is different, compression.....etc.

I called Chrysler specifically with this question, they called me back two days later and said the engines are identical, it was strictly different programming.

Suspect the programming is similar, is more marketting. Is the fuel requirement different ?

I think the 5.7's found in Mopar trucks have better flowing intake/exhaust systems that help the engines breath better for more power.
Tuning is also a factor, and an aftermarket programmer would probably open up the 5.7 Hemis found in our Grand Cherokees. Still waiting on that!

I want to do an exhaust but what I really want to know is weather the SRT exhaust manifolds will work on the 5.7? If they will.....then will an SRT exhaust system work also?
It would be better if someone made headers for the 5.7.

Order a set of exhaust manifold gaskets for both the 5.7 and 6.4. If they match up give it a go. If not return the parts.

Yeah, it's just a lot of work to find out if it will work or not. Was hoping some one would know. I contacted a company called Bouchillon Performance Engineering last night. They told me the exhaust ports aren't even close to the same.

Now what? The aftermarket sure does move slow on Jeep products.
