I am trying to find the ticking noise for my wk2 in the driver side, the sound is constant regardless cold or warm engine,once replaced a loose bolt in the driver side exhaust manifold, didn’t help. Opened the cylinder head cover, found some small play for #1,7 rocker arm, can manually push the push rod a little bit, the rest feel sturdy. Not sure if this small play means a bad lifter.
