I have my life and business arranged so I don't have to drive as much as I used it. I've had this 2017 JK since I bought it new and its only at about 22K miles.

2017 JK 2 Door Sport S - Front End "Vibration" - Low Mileage

Its developed a vibration in the front end. its particularly annoying at highway speeds. I haven't looked at it yet, and since I generally don't drive much these days I kind of ignored it for a while. I thought before I get to involved I'd ask here if there is a semi common low mileage failure item or two I should look at first. Tie rod ends? Stabilizer bushings? Maybe I should just look for a spot where wheel weights used to be stuck on and aren't anymore (LOL).

I'm not a master mechanic, but I'm also not mechanically totally illiterate. I started out (many years ago) buying fixer uppers and "fixer uppering" them, because if I didn't I wouldn't have any wheels at all. I've pulled an engine or two or five or so, and even overhauled a couple. Brake jobs and front end work are generally within my capabilities, and I've used the nail in a board and a tape measure method to rough align a front end to drive a rig to the front end shop more than once or twice when I was done replacing parts. Come to think of it the first engine I ever tore down was a four banger out of a 42 Willys when I was 8 years old. My dad gave me a socket set for Christmas, and said take that engine over there apart. He had me keep the parts organize on some sheets of cardboard. I just about cried when I couldn't get the head bolts out. Then my dad showed me how to use a cheater bar. I don't have many of those sockets left, but my dad still has the 42 Willys.

This 17 JK has not seen any real tough off road use. Sand washes. A few light trail rides. Never fast and hard. The few tough spots its seen were slow crawled taking advantage of its "limited slip" capabilities and manually shifted in 1st 4WD low range. I'm still even running the tires that came on it.

Anyway, I figured I'd see if there were any first things to check because "these always fail" items to check first.

P.S. I was not the one who put that old Willys engine back together. I probably could today with a manual in hand.
