Just curious on anyone's suggestions for the first round of modifications for my 2007 GC 4.7. I'm thinking air intake and exhaust for a quick 20-25hp. Any tips from your efforts?

HO cams are the best upgrade and I just so happen to have brand new set....very rare.

the best MOD hands down I did to my previous 2006 4.7 was the cams and tune to go with it.....
oh yes...but they will have to be custom made/machined

you can call K1 tech and get the same cams I have. Dont ask me the specs...LOL....cause Im not good with numbers. the problem with my cams...they are very aggressive and REQUIRE race ported heads...which are about $2000...and forged internals.....LOL....and a stroke....and a few little things.,.....LOL

Its been a long time...but I got my original ho cams from ebay I think. They are now in production again. Try justforjeeps.
first question is what do you want from the cams? What other mods do you have and what are your future plans?
it sounds like the oem HO cams and beehive springs are what you need. Any good mechanic can install them in a couple hours-3 hours. The intake mani doesnt even need removed.
pair that with a Flyan ryan or fastman tb, K&N intake and your tuner of choice and youll be good to go. Superchips is a vendor here....pm scott@superchips for a JG deal!

a set of cams IMO are one of the best mods for the gen 1 4.7. Dont do ANYTHING else till you add the ho cams or a set of cams
not a true cai...but theres short rams from afe, k&n and maybe one more. Not many choices
