In my 2012, it was the H7 94R and sorry to throw a wrench, but with ESS, I believe the battery for your 2017 should be H6.

If you can pull the battery back towards the back seat, look for the sticker below. Mine had 94 -- you should see 48 (H6) or 94 (H7) in the upper left. Or, measuring works (H6 = 11" and H7 = 12 7/16")

I replaced with a SuperStart from O'Reilly.

My 2012 doesn't have ESS, so I can't speak to that part.

Regarding how the H7 might fit, does the ESS/AGM battery take up the extra space (see pic for H6 vs H7).
