Camera Issues on new Grand Cherokee

I am the second owner of a 2022 Grand Cherokee Summit Reserve that is still within the factory extended warranty thru 2027. It has been at the local Jeep dealer since August 2024 and, after replacing numerous parts at Star's recommendation with no success, the latest guess at needed parts are on backorder till May 2025. Jeep has been paying for a rental Ram pickup truck while I am waiting but it is obviously not even similar to the Grand Cherokee and nothing else is available. They have told me the Lemon Law doesn't apply since I am not the original owner. Does anyone know what, if any, limitation they have on time and number of repair attempts before an equal replacement must be made?

As others have said, we don't know what state you're in as far as the Lemon Law rules for you. Here in Missouri, a Lemon Law only applies to new vehicles, not used.

I'm curious, what sort of repairs are they having trouble with? Does the backup camera not work at all? It seems that you could still drive it while waiting for parts unless that's some sort of safety issue that the dealer could be held liable for in case of an accident.

Finally, welcome aboard. :)

Thank you for your responses. The car is titled in PA. The car was sold to me in December 2023 with the Jeep full 5 year extended warranty thru January 2029 added and with no issues. Around April 2024 I started having intermittent back up camera issues which the local Jeep dealer was unable to duplicate after 3 appointments. In June, while still having the backup camera issues, debris from a dump truck passing in the opposite direction hit and chipped the windshield. I had the chip repaired in warranty but a warning on the dash started popping up intermittently saying the night vision camera was no longer working in addition to the remaining backup camera issue. The Jeep dealer diagnosed the new issue was now due to the night vision camera in the grill being cracked likely when the truck debris hit the windshield. They also indicated the damage was also possibly causing the backup camera issues. $2935.63 and 3 appointments later I went to pick up the Jeep in August only to find out that now none of the cameras worked. After getting a rental, I left the Grand Cherokee with the Jeep dealer in August 2024 and have not had it since. It is not able to be driven because the parts and work that Stellantis has had them do has the dash and interior taken apart. The latest guess is another camera or part that is not available till May. I just paid my sixth $900. car payment on the Grand Cherokee while not being able to use it. What good is a factory warranty if they can't fix the issue and there is no limit to how often they can try?
