Roughly 140k miles. Pads have been replaced 1 time. Definitely time to replace pads and rotors. I saw some discussions regarding using of the VIN to help determine what specific type came on the Summit. This is a daily driver for my wife who has a lead foot. Appreciate the help!!!

Myself, I'd go with Raybestos PGD pads and FZN rotors, they've worked well for me in the past.
I can't tell from your vin's buildsheet whether you have the 330F/solidR or 350F/ventedR brakes.

Akebono ProAct's are great pads. We've done a number of friends JGC's and other makes with Dynamic Friction Rotors and Pads. Did a set of DF drilled and slotted on a buddy's Highlander and they look and perform great after a couple of years of use. They would look great on a Summit.

Agreed, that’s why we rarely do it. Poor guy needed to get some man card points back from having to drive a Highlander and that brake set up really changed the look of the former grocery getter. Again, only reason recommending slotted and drilled on the Summit is they would look great. It’s not always performance, sometimes spending a little more for appearance is worth it.

I researched pads/rotors extensively about a year ago for my 2015 JGC Ltd. and concluded the sweet spot of "good value" + "good quality" was Raybestos Element3 pads and rotors. This is for driving in the Mid-Atlantic area, where rust is a factor. The Element3's are "fully coated" to fight rust.

Rockauto sells Element3 kits for front and rear that include everything -- pads, rotors, clips.

We've been driving around on these pads and rotors for a while now. They're great. No weird noises. Good stopping power.
