If I'm getting it, you bought a used Jeep radio, and not a aftermarket unit? I went both routes. The aftermarket unit was the big screen one you see everywhere. It did not link up to my truck, and they did not give me a return either. So all my Jeep boys be pre-warned! I then got a factory used unit. Had the same problem. But I was able to call a local dealership, and give them the code off the back,and my vin. After that they just gave me a code to enter to the radio. Also, mine wasn't the fancy one, but the small screen version. Good luck brother!!!!!

 

Since the radio was from a 2018+ vehicle you also need a new media hub (it sits in the cubby hole at the bottom of the center stack.) There are many other threads here that discuss the part number of the new media hub. The new one has 2 USB ports.
I think your original one has a single USB and an SD card slot.

 

This is the correct answer. There are a number of threads with the part numbers and instructions to do it. I switched mine not long after I got it. It works OK but wasn't what I thought. You need to have the phone cabled to make it work.
