I'm one of the <2018 folks that has swapped the UAQ head unit into my 2015 Grand Cherokee to gain CarPlay functionality. I have the unwated side affect of the head unit constantly resetting itself every few days (second head unit from the seller doing it).
I finally updated my OBD adapter so AlfaOBD could read the 'Radio Navigator Module' settings as it's called. There were a bunch of codes stored. I have a feeling the radio was powered up by the seller without the amp connected causing them. I reset the and was greeted with two returning ones; B223B and B1561.
B223B make sense. It's upset it's not in the right vehicle. B1561.....Cellular antenna 2. Anyone have info on that? Do UAQ equipped vehicles have two antennas? Folks report that the LTE hotspot functions (does it work at LTE speeds?) Is it possible that an LTE or second antenna needs connected for over the air updates?
Anyone with a 2018 willing to pull their head unit to report their antenna connections colors?
