I had this update available as well for my 2015. It seems to have removed the pandora app that I used with via mobile. It was pretty unreliable, most of the time I had to toggle the via mobile enable on the unconnect app to get it to work so it wasn't worth the effort. I thought it sounded better though than streaming directly from the phone. I don't really see any other differences, but I just installed it this morning.

Edit: Pandora app is back after a restart of the car after a few hours.

I installed this update last weekend on my June 2014 built MY2014. I immediately noticed a faster bootup time and my phone connects quicker as well. I also noticed the sound quality/volume on SiriusXM has improved.

x2 .. def starts up quicker, more like it used to before the past couple updates.

November 2014 built MY2015 Limited with the 8.4AN (US domestic). Installed this yesterday. Took 23 minutes, not including the time I took to check all the settings after. I idled the engine in my driveway during the whole update and worked from a laptop while I waited in the vehicle. Only lost my 24hr time format setting, but that happens on every update.

First impression is that the touch responsiveness is much improved. Most of the lag is gone after you tap an item on the screen.

Another improvement I noticed is that when you first set a destination on the nav, it used to show the "as the crow flies" distance to the destination on the initial route calculation, which messed up time/fuel planning for me on more than one occasion. Now, it shows the actual route distance.

Just did the update on mine. Haven't driven yet but we'll report by experience.

What version were you guys with the early 14 builds starting from? It failed today when I tried to install the updated version on my early 2014 Overland. It gave me the exact same incompatibility message as the last version did. FCA was never able to help me fix the last one. They just stopped responding.

My April 2013 build had 17.11.07.

How did you get that version? I am stuck from one with 15 at the front.

Go to this site https://www.driveuconnect.com/support/software-update.html and enter you VIN. It will tell you whether you have updates available for your vehicle (sounds like you do). Be aware that some of the early build 2014's have had trouble with the 17.11.07 update. If the update it says you need doesn't install properly, send a PM to JeepCares here and include your VIN and email address with a description of the problem.

Schmieg,

I needed JeepCares help getting a special download for 17.11.07.

Did you download and install the Uconnect 17.43.01 update into your early 2014? How did it go?

I didn't dare to load 17.43.01 yet. I have a PM into JeepCares and am waiting for his reply.

Thanks, Tom

I, too, needed to get JeepCare's version of 17.11.07. On the other hand, I downloaded 17.43.01 from the UConnect update page and it installed without a hitch as long as you don't follow the instructions they give. Download it to your hard drive and then extract the files in the zip to the USB drive. It's a big file so it will take a while. You should end up with two files on the drive, SWDL.ISO and SWDL.UPD. It took about half an hour to install on the vehicle. I didn't run the engine, but I sat in the vehicle and every ten minutes I pushed the button to off, then ACC, then RUN to keep the radio powered.

Good luck.

I installed it in my 2015 GC and, like you, it took about 30 minutes. However, I didn't have to push any buttons to keep the radio powered. I just kept it in the run position for the duration per the instructions for all previous updates.

I also lost all the via mobile apps for a few hours.

Hmm. I had the apps back in about five minutes.

I have a 2014 Overland.

I tried installing 17.43.01 this morning thinking it would take no more than 30mins - i was wrong.

The update quit at step 11 at the embedded air card

It tells me to remove the USB stick to reset - it then tells me to reinsert the usb stick. I reinsert the USB stick and it goes to step 11 and fails.

I tried this 4x and it failed every time. The install instructions video said to do it with your car running. I ran my car for more than hour trying to get this install to work.

When i turned my car off, the screen cycled between showing "wait 2-5mins" and "insert usb"

i've seen a few people say that if you "remove the usb stick during step 1 when it is moving the iso the mmc (or moving the iso from the mmc(?)" that it will go back to the version you had before. This did not work.

I was nervous about my battery - so i removed both leads from the red side (found out my socket wrench was broken in the process - so this has been a really frustrating day).

The thing that killed me is that the screen kept cycling EVEN AFTER THE BATTERY WAS REMOVED (what in the name of capacitors is going on here?). The battery has been removed for about 2hrs now. I'm going to go try it again - UPDATE - disconnecting and reconnecting the battery changed nothing. My concern is that leaving my car in this state is going to drain/kill the battery. There are no words to describe how upset/annoyed i feel right now. why the hell are they pushing out updates that haven't been field tested? who the hell does this to people?

AND OF COURSE THIS ISN'T COVERED UNDER WARRANTY. i've got 25k miles.

I received "17.11.17" OTA in october of 2017. I have "17.11.07" on a USB stick - i've seen a few people on the internets saying that going back to 17.11.07 is the only option. that concerns me because i never had 17.11.07.

last thing - i really like this emoticon :slapfight:
