The 12v batteries that jeep uses are notoriously prone to very early failure.
Anecdotally, that did not appear to be the case with the previous generation JGC for the ten year run. Many folks got 5-6-7 years on the OEM battery and being inside the cabin didn't hurt, either.

Older ones may have been a different supplier or before the more recent issues. Battery failures in year 1 or 2 are very common on the wranglers, rams, etc
I would be surprised if the WL is using a different battery, in general, at least, from the "WK2". AFAIK, it's still inside the cabin, too, and very large. I don't follow the Wrangler or the RAM trucks, so I have no idea what kind of battery is employed in them.

So...evidence? 'Cause that's not really been something that large numbers of folks have claimed here over the years and I've been in this online community for over ten years now. People with problems flock to forums to complain about stuff like this. I sure doesn't seem like there are any more battery failures that is likely expected for "such a thing" give there have not been large numbers of complaints to my observation.

no there has not but that's because the batteries are not exposed to the elements and high heat (being located under the passenger, or driver seat)
That was kinda what I said in an earlier post and I thought I was clear that I was speaking about the JGC. No matter. if folks with other models have been having battery issues, I hope that gets resolved.
