For some who might considering the Jeep as a cruiser.

History,
For a long trips we used 14 mercedes ML diesel.

We just made 700 miles trip from Seattle, WA to Big Sky, MT
Its our first ski trip in the Jeep
As we just bought it, I was so gentle and tried to keep it low.
I would rate all from 1 to 10 and Im very picky

Seats - 8
Would like to have more sides support, but they are wide and long. No back pain. Very nice

Road noise - 9
We have Limited with 18in wheels, so tires are observes a lot of road noise and holes, not sure how bad is the ride with 20 in.

Wind noise - 9
Very limited. Very impressed

Cargo space - 10
Its for us, with all luggage for 3 skies (skies were in another car) for a week. We have some room left. Very impressed.

MPG - 10
I really don’t care, as long as it nice responsive ride. And 3.6 very good, i didn’t push hard. Average 21.6.
It runs a a few digress lower if you use Premium and you might get + a few MPGs. Not significant.

Overall, pleased with new Jeep

Now, a few things I cant understand, please, please, this is my personal opinion.

Brake pedal - why its so freaking hard to press? Why do I need to push this hard?

Interior, this glossy sections, why? Its reflects sun and its very easy to scratch, you can see dust, finger prints, scratches so easy.

could use the same plastic what they used on doors or dash, I would give it 10 right now its 4. I will look if China will create something to replace this middle glossy nightmare.

Overall its a very nice ride, so far we are happy with it, time will tell more.

Maybe get some "nice" matte black vinyl wrap and cover the "Piano Black" parts you don't like. It won't hurt it, actually protect it, and is fully reversible.
I'm sure one of the "dash kit" places will come out with those sets of 87 stick on crap for the entire interior, maybe get one of those in black, fake carbon fiber, whatever, and only cover those parts.

Interesting Idea thank you so much. Now i need to see how to take it apart.
I would love to wrap the plastic part in the middle (drivers right knee touching it) in something soft.
Put screen protector on the main screen, I think someone already asked for it too.
Just a few little things.

I couldn’t agree more on the piano black being a mistake right there in the busiest area of the interior. It’s a terrible design oversight and even new shows EVERYTHING. Triggered my undiagnosed OCD just looking at it while sitting in one at my local dealership. My wife is not very aware of stuff like this so it will look worked over in under a year if she spends any time behind the wheel. I’m hoping they do a quick about face on it and will have a better design in the next model year so folks can order those parts to swap out.

I will be the first for those parts if I don’t do anything before.
Unfortunately the main screen is tight to the console, it will be a big swap. But I will do it as this piano black is terrible.

Came back to Seattle, WA

AVG 21.9 MPG, this includes multiple remote starts for 30 mins, as temp was -30C (-22F)at Big Sky and short trips from hotel to the mountain.

I was shocked a few time when I was cornering and my tail went almost in front of me :) very scary skids. I was expecting something better but for now Im blaming all season tires for this.

In -30c (-22F) when I switched to Drive car started to vibrate. This vibration whent down after a few miles. Car was started remote and wasn’t too cold.

Engine and tranny - im happy with it, engine has enough power for me and tranny shifts nice and smooth.

Again, I think its a good car for a long trips.
Just hopping for a good reliability.

At that temperature, the OEM all seasons are likely hard as a rock...
