I'm thinking about putting 22s on my 2015 overland. Anyone know how wide of a tire I can put? I've heard guys putting 305/35/22. Took it to a tire shop they told me 305 might be too wide and might not turn or cause rubbing.

A lot of people run 305/35/22 on here, although they are a bit tougher to find as that size is quite uncommon. I am thinking about upgrading to 22's soon and that's the size I'll most likely go with as well. Some run 285/40/22 but that diameter is different than the spare.
You shouldn't experience any trouble with rubbing, especially at stock height. Many people run this size on lowered Jeeps, and unless the drop is very aggressive, I haven't seen any complaints of rubbing around here.
Here is my 2014 Summit and I have 22X10.5 rims with 305/35-22 tires. There is no rubbing even in park mode like the photo's. I have lowered with lowering links about 1.5 to 1.75" front to rear. The links are easily removed and replaced as I have the stock rims with more aggressive off road tires for my jeeps split personality : )
Nice! I just ordered my 22s. Can't wait to get them. I'll be lowering it as well I like how it sits flush by lowering it. Those links do they sell them somewhere?
Guys i am new to the forum I'm also thinking of putting 22s on my overland and trying to lower it . Would 305/40/22s fit or too big.
Also what is the lowering link kit you talked about and were do i find it thanks.
Can you post some pics of your 22’s?
I want to get 305/45/22 and would like to know if there is any rubbing on my ‘14 GC. I actually put a 2.5” leveling kit.
Thanks
Hallo. Why is every set of rims on the internet mocked up on SRT or Summit trim? Am I not allowed to put wheels on my super duper stock limited trim? Anybody put 22s on a plain old limited?
You can put whatever wheels you like on your "Limited" as long as they meet vehicle minimum specifications including weight capacity and have width and offsets that do not allow the wheels/tires to come in contact with the vehicle physically. The max tire diameter without vehicle modification is about 32". (and you need to change your spare to a tire of the same diameter.
Wheel style is personal taste. And very few people do 22' wheels on the JGC in any trim so that further limits what you're going to see. 22" wheels push the sidewall even slimmer which has its own set of challenges, depending on where and how your drive, too.
