2017 Grand Cherokee Summit, same issue. Jeep dealership has had it multiple times and not able to find the issue. Anyone have better results?

Can't seem to find where to start a convo or to send a private message. Yes, I have the vehicle and continue to have the lights turn on.

I have a 2015 Cherokee Trailhawk. I have been to the dealership repeatedly for recalls that were "fixed". I still have the horrible leak in the hatch area. Now my electronic parking brake is messed up from the standing water. This morning I got in to come to work, the Airbag light, Service 4wd (which is due to a bad PTU that was flashed), Cruise control and Front Collision service light on, Parking Brake service light on, Auto start/ stop light on. I reached out to jeep (haha) they basically told me that the recalls were "fixed" and now it will be out of my own pocket. I am disgusted I have a vehicle that I am paying for and it is literally falling apart OVERNIGHT. I am looking at Broncos and 4Runners as I type this because Jeep Cares is a freaking joke.

My 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee Summit is doing the same thing, if only I had read about these issues before purchasing, if the Jeep knows this is an issue with almost all their cars why the customer have to pay to fix it?
Because there isn't a recall YET! NHTSA is investigating currently. Hopefully a recall will be out soon. I have now been without a vehicle for 11 days. It is sitting in my driveway with the parking brake engaged.. stuck.

Mine have 3 days at the dealership, just got a call I have to pay $4,020 to repair it, that the train drive needs to be replace and the rear differential 🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️.

Hi Drivrno8, We're sorry to hear about your experience. Are you considering having this looked into by a certified Jeep dealer? If so, please keep us updated. If additional assistance is needed throughout your dealer visit, please send us a PM. Alex JeepCares
You think you can get the dealership to take a look at mine??? My transfer case has a 150,000 mile warranty... I've begged several dealerships to look into it. No luck even though it has symptoms of a bad transfer case

I have an extended warranty on mine if the dealership will actually look into it. What symptoms was yours having?

I'm having the same trouble with my 2015 overland diesel, may be a coincidence but this all started shortly after I had it in for a recall 'fix' for the crank angle sensor (I think it was. On road atm so can't double check) before that trouble free motoring...

Really needs to be a recall for this problem with the amount of people having the same troubles...

Hello PF21, We are sorry to hear about your recent troubles. Please feel free to follow up with me via private message, I would be happy to learn additional details of your situation to determine how to best assist at this point. Laura JeepCares
Did you ever find a fix for this issue? My 2015 that I just bought used 2 months ago is doing this as well. There is also a clunk from the front end when starting and sometimes stopping. Did anyone have this symptom as well?
I know this is an old post but my 2015 grand Cherokee is having identical issues as yours did… did they ever find out what was wrong?

I have same issue with my 17 GC Overland. Several trips to dealer and no fix. Check 4W and Speed control light came back on. On the last trip to dealer on Wednesday they said. the rear Transfer case has a broken part. About $5k to fix it.
Car has 94k, never towed anything and seldom off road. This seems like a problem that should not be happening...

Kate,
Dealer is Don Miller Madison WI. My Jeep is stripped down in their shop since Wednesday. They are locating a new transfer box. Bought this car new from them plus others. Oddly, I would have traded it for a 2020 but CV made that impossible. True now too. Anyway, I trust my dealer & do not doubt the transfer case is shot or that it costs $5k to fix it. However, I did not think a Jeep with 94k, that never towed and off road about 100 easy miles would have a major drive train failure. This is a manufacturing problem for the brand. I plan to fix it. There is not much choice but not sure I will keep it long or if I will get another one.
Thanks for asking,
D Wagner

Kate,
It would be great if Jeep corporate had a “take” as to why this failure occurs and what they plan to do about it? Dealer called today. My vehicle will be done next week. The service manager would not comment on why it failed. This forum suggests it is not a one off. No one purchasing a Jeep - advertised as a tough, reliable platform - should expect this kind of defect. I will post more here once I get it back.
Thanks,
D Wagner

I have a 2015 GC summit and am having identical issues as everyone else on here… it is at the dealership now being repaired. Was told it was the transfer case, then told today after replacing the transfer case DTCM is also broke. So now that is going to be replaced as well. I’d have no real problem except I see everyone else have the same issue with little to no closure. I am hoping this resolves the issue, but am concerned that I will bring it home and have the same problem.
