After my 2019 grand Cherokee limited was considered totaled I’m having a heck of a time finding a limited with ac seats, pano roof and lake keep assist (steers for you version) plus adaptive cruise. I’m going to have to settle for a one w just the ac seats and pano roof. Have my eye on a 2018 limited and a 2020 limited with these features. My boss is an electrical engineer as well as a computer programmer (genius level multi patented) and says if it’s a matter of getting the parts to do it that he can easily install it for me (he’s replaced head units etc on my cars and has a lift etc. very talented and literally on the genius spectrum- how lucky am i??) HOWEVER is it even possible to do??! Help? Links to product very appreciated

While I totally understand and agree that getting a GC with lane keep assist from the factory is the best route I have been searching for 4.5 months for one within my budget that’s not over 100k miles. It’s like finding a needle in a haystack in the Chicago suburbs or else it’s listed at a shady dealership. I can no longer afford to keep my rental at $80/day and my budget demands the vehicle list price be under 30k. I truly just need to make a choice and fast. I’d be happy to do an out of state purchase but I don’t know anyone who would be able to go test drive it as I’m a bit shy and don’t have many friends.
THE MAIN REASON I NEED LANE KEEP- I am a nanny for 2 non verbal autistic children and they can randomly shout, scream or kick/jerk their body and kick seats etc when I’m driving which requires a lot of control of the vehicle while comforting them. I find lane keep assist is almost essential to commuting with them to their therapies

Crosshairs- thank you! Any chance you know what tools would be
Search for an overland and it should be far easier to find one with all you want. Hell HAs come with the ACC standard same as summit.
ive been trying to target HA and summit but within 200 miles of me there’s only 2 available the HA has 109k miles and a body paint chip that’s gone to down to the metal with a bit of rust (not sure how $ to repair) the summit has 101 but looks pristine and drove well. Bc of the miles being over 100 I feel very nervous. Both are listed at 28500. Would you say the summit being at 101 is worth it? My previous GC I only drove up to 45k so this would be my first used car purchase that wasn’t a CPO
Search engines im using are: car gurus auto trader and kbb. Any and all help from others is welcome and appreciated! Really need to make a choice this week as I’ve had my rental 4 months now and it’s starting to effect my down payment

Have you considered trying a more distant dealer and do a fly/drive?
Absolutely!! I’ve searched within 200 miles of me but haven’t looked much past that as I’d have to go alone and I don’t really know what I can do to ensure that the flight is worth the trip? Any advice? Have you done this before? Did they bonk up paperwork and/or misrepresent damages? If you read my lower replies the HA I found I drove 3 hours bc they assured me someone went out and put hands on the car and sent me pics etc but when I arrived there was a 1x3 paint chip down to the sheet metal with rust forming on a 2018. Although- I thought that a 2018 would still be covered under body warranty however unsure due to the fact that they could say that bc it’s a chip that wasn’t repaired it wouldn’t be covered??? So much extra work involved. Plus it’s 109k miles. Worth it? Suggestions? Help a single mom and autism care provider who hates mini vans out!! 😂
