Driver's seat reclines by itself.

A few months ago I bought a used 2018 Grand Cherokee. On 3 separate occasions the back on the driver's seat has reclined to full recline position. The power switches for the seat work. The seat can be returned to an upright position with the power switch.

Does your model have "memory" for the driver's seat position? I have never messed with it in my GC, and I don't even know if it has the feature honestly, but in previous cars I've owned you can program a seat position to each key fob, and whenever you start the car with that fob, it will automatically go to that programmed position. You may have accidentally programmed that reclined position to your fob. All I can suggest is take a look in the owner's manual and see what it says about seat position memory, because I have no idea what the procedure is for resetting seat position memory (if it even has that feature).

... to the forum.

As @WK2-Overland stated, IF you have memory seat...

Start the Jeep. Set the seat where you are most comfortable (for driving. lol). On the drivers door you will have the memory switches (it will also remember the pedal position, if available and the electronic steering column, if available).

Push the 'S' and the the number '1'. this will set the memory of your current setting with the FOB that you used to start the jeep.

And here's how to program each of the two key fobs to the memory seats.

Linking And Unlinking The Remote Keyless Entry Key Fob To Memory
Your key fobs can be programmed to recall one of two pre-programmed memory profiles by pushing the unlock button on the key fob.
NOTE: Before programming your key fobs you must select the “Memory Linked To Fob” feature through the Uconnect system screen. Refer to “Uconnect Settings” in “Multimedia” for further information.
To program your key fobs, perform the following:
1. Cycle the vehicle’s ignition to the OFF position.
2. Select a desired memory profile, 1 or 2.
NOTE: If a memory profile has not already been set, refer to Programming The Memory Feature in this section for instructions on how to set a memory profile.
3. Once the profile has been recalled, push and release the set (S) button on the memory switch.
4. Within five seconds, push and release button (1) or (2) accordingly. “Memory Profile Set” (1 or 2) will display in the instrument cluster.
5. Push and release the lock button on the key fob within 10 seconds.
NOTE: Your key fobs can be unlinked to your memory settings by pushing the set (S) button, and within 10 seconds, followed by pushing the unlock button on the key fob.
