2024 Jeep Wagoneer I would give Pause before making that step.
First, purchased the car in June. Initial impressions, it left the lot with a small shimmy, and noise coming from the back seat. The Shimmy I had wrote off to flat spots, and the noise from the back seat as a rattling seat belt. I live 100 miles from the dealer, the dealer said drive it home if it continues bring it back during your next oil change we will balance them. Took the car back in, they ended up replacing all 4 tires, and replacing the back seat. Problem solved, except the balancing machine was off so the shimmy was worse. Took it back, this time said go ahead and make the first oil change. They took the car to a different tire store to have the tires balanced, which worked, but now, and I didnt catch until the next day, the computer was telling me I was down a quart of oil. The digital level indicated there was no oil in the car, which clearly could not have been the case. But I added a quart and followed the instructions on the scree to reset, when I realised the oil cycle had not been reset either. The dealer was told to come get the car, which they did, they towed me a loaned 100 miles to me, and then took the jeep. 2 weeks later I got the jeep back, had it about a week, when I went to get in the car, the car wouldnt start and said no key fob detected. Stellantis offered to make my car payment, and they did indeed send me a $1450 check for Sept. The dealer had me unplug the battery for an hour, which didnt work, but figured out I could press the Key fob into the start button and it would start the car. Took the car to a local dealership and had them replace the batteries in the fobs, which didnt fix the problem, so the car when back to the originating dealer. They discovered it was a perimeter sensor causing the issue and Chrysler said it was on back order until the 24th. When I called Stellantis, and spoke at length with their customer care, they got someone from corp parts involved and apparently have ordered me the part and its supposed to be in play in the next couple of days. I get it, and sure someone will say something, dont buy new models in the year they come out. Here's the thing and the pause. I drove a lotta stuff prior to buying the Jeep Wagoneer. The Tahoe, Yukon, Cadillac version, Toyota Sequioa, Explorer, and I have to be completely honest, the Jeep Wagoneer with the Huricane motor, is like driving around in a race car but instead of uncomfortable seats, you are driving around in a living room. It tows my 2 jet skis without any effort whatsoever. I really really like the car. So here's the pause. I paid $81K for this version in June. It has 4000 miles on it, Edmunds says its worth $67,628. And when I say I paid $81K that was the make sticker price, not some side show sticker. That is a loss in value of $13,372 in 2.5 months. I dont know that I have ever seen anything drop so quickly, and Im hoping that drop is over. $3-5K on signing sure, but $13K in 2 months. That is discerning and to be absolutely fair when pausing, the dealer has been very helpful navigating these issues. Replacing all 4 tires is kinda unheard of, but they did even though they needed regional manager approval.
