We're fortunate to have such a great transmission. Through 2023 ZF has produced 16M 8HP's not to mention Stellantis producing over 6M during the same time period under license by ZF in Kokomo. Not sure if any other manufacturer (BMW, Mercedes, etc.) also makes them under license, that would not included in these numbers. That is a large number of transmissions where it is rare to hear of a failed transmission. Have friends with 10 speed Fords having had to replace their transmissions with relatively low mileage. I'm sure GM replaces many of their 10 speeds, compared to CDJR. CDJR gets a lot wrong, but not with going with the ZF transmissions (which, technically, was planned for CDJR during the Daimler Chrysler days working on the next gen models).
