I know when people go up to the staggered 22" reps, they go with a +30mm offset for the front & a +45mm offset for the back.

I've done a screen capture of how that kinda looks with your tire sizings. Hope that helps. Maybe some of the offset gurus on this forum can throw their 2 cents worth in, since I'm an amateur with that stuff.


Also, the offset for the stock OEM 20's in +56.4mm.

 

Those tire sizes are not the same rolling diameter which WILL result in damage to your drivetrain if you mount these on a 4x4 Jeep.

those are diff size diameter\

you need to do your homework ...online there are charts which tell you all the tire diameters of all sizes and widths.

 

I was actually saying that the difference is f'all.

 

I didn't think much of the tolerance at first, but it would need to be considered.

I've decided on 275/55 at any rate.

 

If you want a wider stance you need 20x9 wheels which will have the +35 offset. (or 20x10 +50).

I have 285/50 R 20 tires on Factory Reproduction SRT replica 20x9 +35 offset wheels.

Compared to the stock 20x8 +56 offset wheels, these wheels make the tires look better/wider from the front and back; that, and because I needed to clear Brembo calipers in front, is why I got them.

Even though my 285 tires are slightly wider (and taller) than 265 tires, the wheel size and offset is what makes the visual width difference. Even stock 265/50 tires would look better, especially from behind, with these wheels.

Some non-SRT people go with the stock SRT size 20x10 but I didn't want that size. You may want them if you want that extra beefy look. (but check if 275/55 fit 20x10 wheel)

 

I just found a set of replica srt's for 1K, which is pretty neat, but I'm looking at purchasing a gobi roof rack too. I'm not sure if a taller tire fit in there on 20x9 rims either.

If I don't replace my rims, spacers would essentially do the same thing correct? I am wanting a wider look in the back. A 56.4mm offset with a .75 inch spacer would make it more like a 37mm offset?
