MOPAR - EVTS problem with being ghosted

When I purchased my 15 GC i also purchased the MOPAR - EVTS GPS & emergency response system with the lifetime plan. Every year I received notice to update my registration information. Every year except this one. I called in and was informed it had been cancelled because I had not contacted them from the post card they mailed. Never had they mailed a post card, it was always a letter! Also informed the system was switching from 3G to 4G due to ATT shutting off the 3G network and I need to purchase new hardware. I said I would and they wanted my credit card info then to charge but couldn't ship for 10 to 12 weeks. This I can understand, but I paid for a lifetime . At this time I have NO coverage or protection on my GC. I had just used the panic button feature (11/21) on the EVTS because an accident had happened in front of me and there were injured people all over the roadway. 10 minutes to call back after pressing panic button. I have contacted GUIDEPOINT & MOPAR twice with no response. Anyone else unhappy with the EVTS???

Yes, I agree. MOPAR sucks re: EVTS. They take a component part that costs maybe $25 at most to produce in China, sell it to you for $450, then charge $800+ for lifetime service, then when they change from 3G to 4G they take another $25 part and want to charge $400+ to replace it. In the meantime, you are without service you've paid for and a perfectly good tracking device in your car that won't work, but MOPAR and car dealers were all too happy to sell and install them KNOWING THEY WOULD BE USELESS SOON anyway. MOPAR is a terrible company that should do better by its customers.

this just happened to me today and I had no idea this was the case. They said the same thing except that they emailed me and I’d t send a letter like they usually do because of Covid and they were working from home, as if it matters to me how they work, but they said my subscription was canceled even though I purchased the life time coverage. They said to purchase from an upgrade from a dealer because a third party they use doesn’t support their hardware and they want us to pay for the upgrade. We didn’t contract with AT&T they did. They has to be some legal recourse to this crap. Totally unfair practice.
