2015 Grand Cherokee Overland eco diesel with 138,000 miles mostly highway, but live in the Chicagoland area so a lot of stop and go.
Happy New Year! Long time lurker, first time poster…So went to the dealer yesterday morning as I have a failed glo plug ($600 to replace and only dealer will touch in my area) and notice what I thought was coolant on my garage floor. Thought it was EGR related… Nope, Dealer stated it’s power steering fluid and my rack and pinion need replacing. Quoted me $2,600?!! Looked online for pricing and was quoted $2,200 - $2,400 from reputable independent shops… have noticed some clunking, but steering has been great. Anyone else replace theirs and what was your cost? Should I stick with dealer or go independent? Seems like a ridiculous amount of money
