So with some research and some helpful responses on here to issues i've been having i've decided to replace my calipers when i replace my pads. Never did my brakes before but it all seems pretty straight forward as far as pads and rotors would go but how many extra steps is there to replace the caliper itself? Is there a diy posted anywhere? I've searched but haven't found much on caliper replacement. Thanks in advance everyone.

I haven't done the backs yet, but I did the fronts (pads) last weekend. It would be about 3 extra steps to replace the calipers when you're replacing the pads.
1) Once you pull the caliper off the rotor to change the pads, remove the brake line bolt, and get rid of the old caliper.
2) Attach new caliper to brake line. Use new washers to seal.
3) After the pads and everything is back on, bleed the brakes.

We had to replace the rear calipers on my little lady & I would highly suggest loosening the brake bleeder screw BEFORE you put the new caliper on! This was a little "stuck" when we put mine on and ended up having to take the entire caliper back off as the screw was almost COMPLETELY stripped. After reading - I was not the first one it has happened to either
