Something is happening. When I'm stopped (stop/start mode) and I release pressure on the brake, the car starts, as it should, but it is accompanied with a chime and a message flash that is too quick to read.

Took it to the dealer and they were able to duplicate what I was experiencing but unable to determine what was going on. Computer showed a voltage drop. Taking it back in so they can spend more time trouble shooting it. Neither the Service manager nor the technician has run across this.

Is anyone experiencing this?

Well, took it in to the dealer where they saw the messages as low voltage for just about all the systems when it was starting. Battery test indicated that I had only 25% of my total cranking amps. So my battery was in the process of failing. New battery and problem is solved.

The Stop/Start function on my car hasn't worked for a couple of months. I sometimes get the message "Stop/Start Function Unavailable".

Despite this, the Cherokee continues to drive beautifully. I'll get the Stop/Start Function looked at during the next service, next month.
