Transfer case noise

Just got back from Mr Front End for a wheel bearing noise inspection. Tech said wheel bearing are fine. After running my Jeep on the lift he's pretty sure the hum noise is coming from the transfer case. It has made this noise every since I got it 1400 miles ago. I currently have 214,445 miles on it. Everything is working fine. It just has that hum. Right after I got this GC I did a drain and refill on all the fluids with no change to the noise. Transfer case fluid was just a little dark, but very normal and no pieces parts or flakes in the fluid.
So right now I think the only thing I can do is another fluid change to make sure the T case it is as clean as possible and drive it. Let me know if there is anything I can do to prolong it's life.
Cheers

Check the CV on the rear of the front driveshaft. The boot tears and all the grease will get slung out and the bearing runs dry and can actually start to seize. I've had this happen 2x actually on mine. The replacement didn't last that long because the gaskets on the aftermarket joints weren't that good, they are better now. The rear CV can be done without pulling the driveshaft out, you can pop the CV out of the transfer case flange and do the replacement from under the vehicle.
To do the job you need a snap ring pliers. Use eye protection just in case that snap ring goes flying.

Mine did that too. Vibration not hummm! Somewhere around 2007 that front driveshaft got cv joints both ends.
