I just took my 2019 2.0L Turbo in for a recommended spark plug change at 30,000 miles. The dealer said FCA changed the interval on that engine to 60,000 miles, so I didn't have them changed. I also can't find the plugs for this engine anywhere; Autozone, RockAuto, O'reilley's, NAPA or Advanced Auto Parts. They simply don't list them. The Jeep dealers have to order them by VIN and charge about $22 apiece. Anyone know why this is such an issue?

TurboCharging burns away the plus faster than naturally aspirated.... ....so perhaps they use a plug that is not common to offset that fast burn away or to deal with heat and pressures of turbocharging.... ...if FCA changed the interval for changing plugs, there would be a TSB... ....it they changed in the OM for later M/Y's, well that would apply to those M/Y's and not yours.... ...they do make changes over the M/Y's and that might be behind the change in spark plug interval, you need to find out what changed or if it was just a case of they changed nothing and discovered they set the interval too short and are corrected it.....

My Jeep was sold in April of 2018 and I bought it used in February of 2019. I don't know the build date but my owner's manual lists spark plug change at 30,000 miles. The dealer printed out their fcaservices document (attached) that lists spark plug change at 60,000 miles. I am not aware of a TSB for this. I have an extended warranty and hope they abide by the fca document.

There would not be a TSB for a minor change like this, it would be updated electronically in the dealer’s computers. An interesting error in the manual, I’d not spend another second even thinking about it. Many thousands of 2.0 KLs on the road with the 60,000 mile interval, they didn’t change the engine after yours was built...
