That's the file I'm trying to update to, but my current version is too old. It's 15.xx.xx, so I need to update to one of the 2 previously mentioned versions first.
The instructions say that you can have the dealer do the update for free. Whether the dealer agrees with that I can't say but you might print them out and show it to the dealer. Instructions attached. I was going to update mine and it turned out I already had!! Must have done it when I did the map update.

Doing my best to avoid the stealership 😬😅

Go to that site and see if they have software for that version. The site is also in Europe.

Hello, I recently came across your post on updating the Uconnect radio, I have a 2015 Dodge Challenger with the 8.4,but it is the RA3, and has version 15.17.5 on it, I also went to the uconnect site, and actually purchased the adding navigation to this for around $400.00, and thought it would also put me to the latest version of 18.45.01 ,but it did not. The Uconnect website is telling me I will have to visit the dealer since my current version is 15.17.5, and from what I can tell what you have discussed if is I can find the file 17.43.01 for the RA3, then I will be able to update to the latest 18,45.01. Would you be able to help me or send me in the right direction to find the file to download that is correct for my application, I'd be much obliged for your help. Thank you!

Thank you for a quick reply, that is where I tried to find the download I need, from what I can tell the one I found on there is for the RA4 radio, but I have the RA3 but I added navigation via Uconnect website. I'm not exactly a computer guru and tried to search the link you mention for what I'm looking for but didn't see anything, maybe I'm looking in the wrong file?

That's where you'll find it.
Under MJ 13-14
Ok guys, I have downloaded that file and put on a flash drive, in the TSB documents I don't see a 2015 Challenger listed, can ANYONE confirm that I should try to put this update on my radio before I proceed to try it and possibly mess up or "brick" my radio? Any help is appreciated and I'll be glad to provide all the info you professionals need to help me.

This is one reason dealers can charge so much for an update. When you do it yourself, you kind of buy your ticket and take your chances. Having said that, over the years, people that have tried to update with an incompatible version, for the most part, have gotten a warning screen that said so, and it wouldn't load. In your case, the one thing I might be concerned about, is your nav addition. That, in essence, has made your RA3 into a virtual RA4 unit. I'm not sure how that would react to the RA3 update. It might, ostensibly, revert back to the RA3, and you might lose your nav, and I'm sure that wasn't a cheap date. I can tell you that when I updated my RA4 unit to ver. 17.11.07 in 2017, I ran into a similar problem, in that I couldn't load the 17.43.01 ver. without it, and I couldn't get the download from their site for my '14 JGC. So I did a little research, and found that certain '13 Ram trucks had the same radio, so I used a '13 Ram VIN to download it. It worked, no problem. I do see that the RA3 and RA4 both seem to use the same versions. So in conclusion, ;), It looks like it might work. So your decision would be, how bad do you want the upgrade, and how lucky do you feel.

If you do decide to attempt the update, here are some helpful instructions, if you don't already have them:

I just tried the UPDATE to no avail, it said something about va3 not compatible, if memory serves me, Ill try again and get a picture of the error code

Sometimes you can't skip a version without updating intermediate versions. If you go back to the download site and look at the folder MJ 15, there is a download for version 16.16.13. You might need to install that first. Of course, this is just conjecture on my part, I haven't tried anything except what I've done on my own vehicle. It looks like your unit won't accept the the version you tried to load, but it didn't seem to hurt anything, it only refused to load it. You could try to load the 16.16.13 version, but as I said previously, I'm not guaranteeing anything. You do take on some risk here.

OK, so here is what it is showing me, it acts like it is going to update to the 17.43.01, but then it shows me this...

System product mismatch stick contains VP4 but target is VP3.Please remove USB stick to reset

Where should I go from here?

And I apologize, I didn't see this reply until I just posted my other findings. I want to try doing the 16.16.13 update, but you have me gun shy now, would you just suggest choking it up and going to the dealer?
