Thanks Hobbie - I appreciate the reply. Does the Protech come with all of the application tools (spray bottle, squeegee, micro fiber cloth, etc.) or do you have to buy those separately?
The kit comes complete with all you need. There are some good videos on techniques.
I installed the NAV screen today. What I learned.
1. Work from the top down getting the two small tabs and the edges lined up and in place at the top of the screen. Getting the top locked in makes it easier to do the rest of the screen as you work your way down.
2. Use ample solution. It makes it easier to move around. Make sure you spray the screen and the back and front of the product.
3. If things are not lining up at the top remove the product add more spray and do a restart.
4. You must work top down due to the curves at the top and along the edges.
5. Apply pressure at the corners at the top to get the product to conform to the angles.
6. Same for the edges - apply pressure and work top down as you expel moisture to the sides.
7. Keep applying pressure on the edges as you work down.
8. When you get to the bottom of the screen align the lower corners first and use pressure to get the adhesion to stick.
9. Same all the way across the bottom.
10. Wrap the squeegee in the towel when adjusting the product.
11. Make sure you have plenty of light and its not too hot or cold. Today its 75 in our garage which seemed to work out fine - the product did not dry too quick.

It takes time due to all the curved edges on the screen.

Don't be afraid to remove the product and start over.

Overall pretty pleased so far.

Attached are photos with the NAV completed. Only area left is just below the screen with the control buttons.

I just got off the phone with my tint people, Cactus Tint here in Scottsdale to see if they can wrap the console, Rick the owner will call me back, his assistant felt that they could no problem, they would just use the same clear plastic used to protect the painted areas on the front-end...
Did you end up getting this done? Just curious how it turned out.
Disregard! I just saw the completion photo. Looking in to this now. Thank you!

A quick update - after a couple of days the product has cured. looks better now then ever. If your handy, have time and our patient I would recommend the Protech poduct.

If you order I also recommend ordering the extra product in caee of a mistake.....

I've wiped off dust a few times - zero scratches. I do like how the driver screen turned out also.

Pictures are in my other posts...

FYI - I just noticed that XPEL has finally released more interior pieces, mainly for the 2-row. Not sure the seat controls and overhead (sunroof, etc) controls are included but it looks like everything else is including the passenger screen and the two piano black pieces on the front facing dash. I'm definitely getting these applied: Display Screen and Interior Kit (ULTIMATE PLUS)

FYI the passenger screen part does not work as it is for NON screen cars. Already tried it and it does not fit (certified installer tried twice and reported it to XPEL) . Also those two dash pieces are the wood trim pieces not the black plastic (at least on an overland).
--> And yes we did tell XPEL before cutting the pieces I had an Overland 4x4 and a passenger screen.

I do have my whole console center area as well as the screen (and HVAC/seat buttons) covered in the XPEL

Thank you for the info! Do the door panel pieces fit? Why would they make cutouts for the wood trim and not the piano black on the front facing dash or maybe it's a mistake? Although, I think they make one set of pieces and use them for all trim levels so some may not fit/work. When you say HVAC/seat buttons do you mean from the center console or are you talking about the seat buttons near the floor?

He was not able to get the door panels to fit properly. He did try two different cutouts that expel has. He did call XPEL and asked them and but they seemed confused. He did put one piece on the wood trim but since it's not as glossy and rough compared to black trim it looked strange.

I am talking about the center console under the screen. (Sorry meant to say that in original post)
Having the whole center console covered area and screen covered has been great. Less worrying about scratches and fingerprints.

We tried L and non L model cutouts but were fighting them. I have the left over parts as they were not for the black dash trim.

This is the product I used - did it myself - fit perfect -

I spent about 5 hours and took my time.

This may be a dumb suggestion, but I am going to ask anyhow. Has anyone tried a ceramic coating on the piano black interior pieces of the GC? If so, what were the results and how long did it last?
I did try ceramic coat… didn’t protect sh!t…. Honestly PPF is the only way to go.
I have never installed PPF before and mine turned out fantastic

I recently spent the time to complete the survey Jeep (Stellanits) sent via email on our 2022 WL-74 and I hammered home the ridiculousness of Piano Black as an interior element in the GC. I couldn’t have made my point more clear.….hope it helps get the message across if many others do the same.

I did the same on mine. Along with nav screen flickering often and steering component noise when turning at low speed

Haven't had time to read all these posts so don't know it this has been mentioned already.
Before cleaning any and all interior paneles, i use a shop vac with a brush attachment lightly to get the dust off before cleaning.
After vacuuming and then cleaning with a mild car interior cleaner again going lightly i then apply 303 interior protectorant.

The piano black on my GC looks as good as the day i took delivery of it 5 years ago.

To be fair piano black used in the WL is a different animal.. the shop vac brush attachment would scratch the WL interior…

I said to use the brush attachment lightly.
Of course shop vac brush attachment bristles are stiff all the more reason to take it easy.
Another method is to use the softest hand brush that can be found and while lightly brushing hover the vac nozzle right above the brush to collect the brushed off dust particles.

Rubbing dust especially abrasive dust onto a non-forgiving soft material is one step below sand papering it.
