Really depends on whether or not you plan on any offroading. If yes, then definitely the 18's since you'll have more sidewall on the tires. When offroading, the more sidewall the better. If your not taking it offroad, then it's a matter of what looks better to you. There's plenty of tire choices out there for both sizes when it comes to replacing them and price is negligible, with 20s typically costing a little more. I think the 20s look better on the Jeeps, IMO.

I opted for the ORAII package on my Limited....this option will not allow you to select factory 20". It would have to be aftermarket. The profiles will fill the wheel well similarly, but the rims are different...I would have loved the 20" 5-spoke rims on the left, but I can live with the 18"s on the right because I would rather have the skid plates and Quadralift on my vehicle.

Really depends on your desires and likes....off roading you may want the 18"s, Lux package you should get the 20"s, or pick the rim you like most...

The larger wheels means your tire will have a smaller sidewall. This typically yields two things - better handling/cornering but an increase in harshness.

Personally, I have had both wheels on a 2012 Jeep and find the 20" version to be far superior. Looks better, handles noticeably better and didn't really observe any increased ride harshness at all.

I just bought a 2013, test drove both and liked the ride of the 20's a lot better than the 18's. But I only have a RWD and won't be doing any off-roading. Ride is tighter but not stiff, handling was better IMO.

I'm getting 18", specifically got ORAII package just to get the wheels. Just like the tire selection better. It is hard to get any decent tire in exact OEM size.

My 18s ride harsher than my 20s. 20s have plenty of sidewall, so the ride is more about tire brand/model than size.

The 20s provide better handling on the highway and back roads. 18s give you more margin against curb rash and debris. Looks are subjective, but my OEM 20s look much better to me than the OEM 18s. Most will agreed but there is some difference in opinion.

Tire selection in 20s is pretty good right now, and the OEM goodyears aren't bad if you get them balanced properly. Tire selection in the OEM 18s size is not much better. OEM 18s are meh..

If you do a lot of pavement driving, you should be happier with 20s. If you do a lot of dirt road or logging road driving, you will be happier with 18s or 17s.

20s are going to cost more, worth it is subjective.

 

I got the OR II package, so it came with the 18's. I actually am happy about it because I like the look of the wheel. I had a 5 spoke design on my last vehicle, so it was time for a change anyway.

I'm also not sure I would want to be airing down the 20's for beach use.
