Has anyone tried to install the low profile roof rails on a 2016 jeep grand cherokee laredo? The laredo has the black plastic and chrome metal roof rails (front to back). I ordered a low profile all black mopar set from justforjeeps. The listing said it fit my model but some modification may be needed. Turns out the modification was sawing off the mounting pegs connected to my roof. I thought maybe some small dremeling may be need on the rails themselves instead. I'm wondering if the SRTs low profile rails will fit on the laredo. The jeep dealership did not know...even with both VINs the part #s are different just because it is a different part. They have no way match them up.

If this is the roof rail you have, here's what I went with. Extremely well made, quite sturdy on the roof. And reasonably priced too. Company is in Michigan, nice people, sent to me for next day delivery at no charge.
