Man, that guy is full of crap, never supplies sources for all of his wild claims.

Yeah, a few may take that literally.

I'm pretty sure they will still do the GC SRT but not call it SRT (so "powered by SRT" or some similar crap). Same as with the new Challenger.

They won't cancel it completely because

1. It's SRTs biggest seller
2. Performance SUVs are booming...look at how many cars there are in the sector: ML63 AMG, X5M, Cayenne Turbo, Range Rover Sport V8 etc. FCA would be crazy to not want a piece of that pie (and they won't be eating any of that pie with a Journey SRT lol).

As a newcomer to SRT I'm not really invested in the whole heritage of the brand so when it comes to replacing my GC, "powered by SRT" suits me fine. I'm more bothered by the actual quality of the car. If it's still a bad ass HEMI and not some God forsaken turbo 6 cylinder (Hello you numbskulls at BMW) I'll be happy :)

That SRT means a lot to me.. I honestly would have never got an American car with out that SRT or SS on it. I've been loyal to the Jap's and Germans.. "Powered by SRT" just sounds like a piece of posing crap.. I planned on keeping my Jeep and adding a 2 door something in the future anyway.. But was getting hype when I heard about the hellcat.. But Ohwell. I got the color I wanted n the car I wanted.. This will be my American Classic if anything..

Lets say they do kill off the Jeep GC SRT.
Is there anything stopping them creating a performance name brand for Jeep.
Stupid as it would be to have create a new brand image, but there is currently nothing on offer from Dodge to really replace the Jeeps. The Durango would be the closest, but still not the same. And this is a massive cash earner for them.

Then again, they could just flip on this idea later.
Jeep GC SRT = Classic Coke.

The Performance Line in JEEP vehicles could be called...

The SRTrail line!

Oh... and while they're at it... hopefully they can add the AIR SUSPENSION to the SRTrail to give it some OFF ROAD ability!

Worldwide sales....milo is has the numbers or you can Google production numbers for all srt vehicles

$1,000,000,000 (ONE BILLION)

Estimated approximate wholesale revenue that Chrysler will bring in for the 2014 Grand Cherokee SRT8 model year

The irony there is the 14 isn't an SRT8.

And here's an article saying the Jeep is staying.

Not sure what everyone is up in arms about, how many people buy the exact same car multiple times in a row, even with a redesign? Love my SRT but can't say I'm going to be getting another one, variety is the spice of life :)

Hopefully they're making a decent profit on it. I'm pretty sure they are considering how much they're selling for.

It's going to be interesting how this plays out.

Scott: Considering how much you put into your beast, wouldn't you be content if the WK2 SRT was the last SRT year and you were driving the last of the bad asses around? Or were you thinking of upgrading with a new model?

If they are good enough why not. You Yanks don't get our Fords over there, but I have bought 3 versions of our Ford Territory, 2 of them turbo 6's with AWD (google it). The only reason I didn't go for a 4th one is because they dropped the performance models.

If the GCSRT does die off i'll have the last of the best, if they make the 2017 model as the last, then i'll probably trade up and hold onto it.

I wanna know who at dodge is under Sergios desk to get all this shit. Dodge thus far has made shit cars....IMHO. jeep has kept Chryco and SRT alive the last few years while doidge cars have been losers. But lets turn over our performance division to dodge who has built the avenger, journey and dart the last few years. Not to mention the overweight, fat challenger who is destroyed by cheaper competition. Then...lets keep the Durango...which sales have been up...but then only about 5000 per month...and take capacity from Chryslers cash cow and world beater Grand Cherokee? How much sense does that make? Then they wanna replace the NUMBER ONE selling SRT with a frickin cuv Journey? Give me a break. I hate to say it....but FCW is gonna revisit 2009/10 and they wont have a bailout this time. Sad sad days ahead. Whomever dodge has under Sergios desk must have one helluva suction.....
 You said what I was thinking and said it so much better than I would have.

I heard they will end the 300 srt not jeep
This sounds bitchy, but maybe try reading the thread you’re posting in to see what has already been said and clarified multiple times with actual sources.

I don't have that much into mine as some might think. The wheels/tires are the same wheels/tires I had on my 2013 SRT. Same Borla ATAK. Same BT kit. I did add the brembo sport rotors and brake pads.(although I sold the brembo sport rotors from the 2013 and sold the oem rotors and pads for more than what I have in the brembo sports) Same eibach springs. Same front black ops splitter till I hit a tire on the highway...but the gentlemens insurance more than paid for the new CF splitter. I do have the hood...about $2500. The side splitters....$700. Bwoody CAI $475 amd my own little touches with paint and vinyl. All that is very minor. You see I don't have a lot of extra cash into this beast...especially considering I sold the black chrome spyder monkeys for $4000.....LOL.

4k for the spider monkeys????????????? what!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! thats awesome hahahaha
