Let's see, this week, I removed the soft top, installed an Alien Sunshade, the Mastertop Bimini Top, Windstopper and Tonneau cover and Smittybilt Gen 1 tube doors.

Then took it wheeling.

I powerwashed mine after a weekend trip to Black Mountain, Harlan County, KY.

I only lost a fender, others in our group had other parts break. Time to either upgrade or just try the JK fender trim. Worst case is I screw up the fender trim and need new fenders anyways. Nothing to lose here.

So you saw the carnage above. I used that as an excuse to try the cheap fender trim. I did the rears and will do the fronts this weekend. I think it came out pretty good and I'm happy with it. Rehabbed the faded plastic at the same time.

Well, not specifically today but over the course of the weekend and this week.

Installed my ARB compressor and rear locker, changed out my A Pillar switches to match the ARB switches, Modified the dash cubby for ARB switches, wired my winch for inside winch controls and added 100' of 3/8" Dyneema synthetic rope and a safety thimble to the winch.

Did the back seat and all four headrests (finally - have had this kit for a year). Tomorrow, need to do the fronts and add the MOPAR heated seats, and a lumbar for the driver's. Took Monday off too, just in case. If I get it done tomorrow, gonna tackle the spark plugs on Monday. I've got 86K miles on her now, and I'm losing power and MPG's. Figure it's time.

Oh, and if you end up doing this Katzkin kit, the headrests are SUPER easy. I was worried, but they're very easy.

Any special tools or BS with the seat covers? It's been on my "want" list for a while now. They look great!

Thanks! Here's a couple pics of the fronts done as well, and the seat heaters (well, the buttons).

Definitely pick up some hog rings and angled hog ring pliers on Amazon. They're cheap, and well worth it if you want to really dig in and get the seats fastened well. Some people use zip-ties, but I'd buy the angled pliers again in a heartbeat, even if I never use them again.

The most difficult part of the project was actually the driver and passenger seat-backs. Getting the front and back of each seat-back fastened together along the bottom was a huge pain. I don't know what would have made it easier. I easily took 30 minutes on each one, trying to get that channel to go in the groove.

Also, when cutting the seat top where the headrests go in, as well as the sides where the recliner knob pokes through and the seatback fastens to the seat bottoms, start with the smallest hole you can make, and stretch the leather. The key here is having a REALLY sharp exacto-knife or sheetrock knife. When I was done with the headrests on the back seat, I noticed the knife was already dulling. Stupidly, I kept on with the same blade for the passenger side, and then changed it to do the driver's and noticed suddenly how easy it was. I should have just changed to a new blade for each seat.

Good luck with your install!

Thanks brother...really looks professionally done. I got to thinking about doing this again mostly because my wife just bought a handheld steamer for crap around the house. That should help. I hope. Maybe this coming summer.

Work is slow today and my Steinjager grab handles came in, so I put those in. I saw these at TrailFest but wasn't sure if they would fit with the cage so I passed. I looked a bit more when I got home and decided to try them as they appeared solid. Good thing, the "show special" price was $99.00, from the Steinjager booth, The web price direct from Steinjager was $65 plus shipping.
